What's Going on in Sumner, ME?

• Taxes due 11/21/25; Interest Begins 2/1/26 
• As of 1/1/25, Wednesday Office Hours: 10 am - 6 pm
• Dog Registration for 2026 begins 10/15/2025 
• Late Fees ($25 per dog) for dog licensing begin 2/1/25
• Scholarship Committee Bottle Drive/Calendar Sales 9/15/25 through 9/20/25; $10 donation to purchase a calendar for daily chances to win prizes! 
• The Education Exploration Committee will meet on September 30th @ 6:30 pm at the Sumner Town Office. This will be a public forum, and residents of Sumner are encouraged to come with any questions or concerns regarding the process of withdrawing from RSU #10. 
• Rabies Clinic Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 10 am to noon. 
  • Only healthy animals 12 weeks or older, no PREGNANT animals please
  • Prefer dogs in cars, but if not at least on a leash; cats in carriers pleas
  • Proof of previous rabies vaccine, if availabl
  • Dog licensing will be available at the town office at the time of rabies vaccination. To license dogs after rabies vaccination, $6 for altered dogs, $11 for unaltered dogs
  • Cash or check only for Rabies Clinic
